Created for August & Piers, this folding carton is built around material, tone and precision.
The first thing you notice is the colour.
Colorplan Lockwood Green gives the piece an immediate sense of depth and richness. It’s bold without feeling loud, and the uncoated surface allows the texture of the stock to become part of the experience rather than something hidden beneath laminate or varnish.
That tactility matters here.
Because this is a product that’s handled slowly. Picked up, turned in the hand and opened with intention. The packaging needed to feel calm, refined and considered from the very first interaction.
The silver foil introduces contrast exactly where it’s needed.
Applied to the branding and monogram, it catches light cleanly against the darker green stock, creating sharp definition without overpowering the simplicity of the design. The restraint is what gives it confidence.
Structurally, the carton remains intentionally straightforward.
No unnecessary complexity, no over-engineering. The focus stays on proportion, material quality and finishing accuracy. Crisp folds and precise assembly ensure every edge feels controlled and consistent, which is what gives the final piece its premium feel.
The typography also plays an important role.
Large areas of negative space allow the branding to breathe naturally across the panels, reinforcing the understated luxury positioning of the product. Nothing feels crowded or forced.
That balance is what makes the piece work.
Strong colour, minimal graphics and carefully controlled finishing, all working together to create packaging that feels refined, tactile and quietly confident.
